STUDY IN THE WORKPLACE – RYA THEORY COURSES IN LONDON – RYA THEORY COURSES IN KENT

We can provide a training course for you and your colleagues at your offices in London or Kent. This can be in the evenings, as a series of weekends or even in a format to suit you. All you need is access to a suitable room (with a projection screen or wall and desk space for everyone to work on charts) and a few other interested people. This is a highly cost and time effective solution for busy people, the arrangements are very easy, the evenings are interesting and fun and the organiser can enjoy a free training course. Not least, the company provides a popular employee benefit at no cost.

The following RYA courses are available this way:

Day Skipper Theory – Navigation, pilotage, weather, rules of the road, safety and seamanship for yacht skippers. 7 evenings and one weekend or 5 evenings plus home study or 3 weekends

Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Theory – Advanced navigation, meteorology, safety and seamanship for yacht skippers. 7 evenings and one weekend or 5 evenings plus home study or 3 weekends

Marine VHF Radio Short Range Certificate Course. 2 evenings or one day

RYA Day Skipper Theory Course at your offices for 9 people.

Cost: £300 per person including all study materials plus £25 per person for plotter and dividers. Free course for the organiser. No cost to the company unless it chooses to subsidise the training.

Time: One evening per week (any day) for 7 weeks then one weekend. Hours are typically 6.30pm to 9.30pm each evening (flexible) and 9.30am to 4pm at the weekend.

Smaller or larger class sizes would alter the pricing a little. To make up numbers and reduce costs you can choose to open the course to people outside the company.

If there is sufficient interest we confirm the course and handle all the paperwork direct with each student. You just book the room. This is a great way to learn a fascinating new subject in company with like-minded people. After the course you can go on to complete the practical training aboard our yachts at Chatham and become qualified to charter a yacht with friends.
