Here’s another Celtic sea adventure – this time with a taste of the cultures of Ireland, Wales, the fantastic Isles of Scilly and Cornwall - beautiful landscapes, remote islands, glistening beaches, dolphins and seabirds and of course lots of fun and laughter and memorable sailing. Leaving the delights of Dublin Bay astern our first passage takes us south along the Irish coast to spend an evening in the lively resort of Wicklow. From here we leave the Emerald Isle and shape our course south east across the Irish Sea to Wales and our landfall in beautiful Pembrokeshire. We’ll see St David’s Head and Skomer Island before carrying the tide race through Jack Sound to the spectacular entrance to Milford Haven. Here we’ll rest as we plan our next passage - across St George’s Channel to the Isles of Scilly. If you haven’t visited this jewel on the western fringe of Britain, make this the year you do. Lovely islands, clear crystal waters, shining beaches, seals and seabirds. Time now to relax as we visit Tresco, Bryer, St Agnes, St Annes and St Martins – all close by with many beautiful anchorages. Swim from the yacht in sheltered bays. See the seals off the wild western rocks, and sail right around the spectacular Bishop Rock – the most southwesterly point in Britain. And in the evenings enjoy the tranquillity of an anchorage, or take the dinghy ashore for some entertainment in the local pub. Refreshed and inspired we enjoy a final splendid sail to Lands End. The islands fall astern and the cliffs of Cornwall appear ahead as we pass Wolf Rock and speed towards journeys end at lively Penzance.
