| Yacht Charter in Greece
Experience - sailing in warm waters – exploring remote islands - swimming off idyllic beaches – dining at waterside cafes – starlit nights – peace – freedom – fun – relaxation Greece offers all these delights of a Mediterranean yachting holiday with superb cruising and a breathtaking range of places to sail. There is no shortage of charter yachts either. But the huge choice makes finding the best company a difficult business. As an established sailing school in the UK, with a pride in delivering high quality at an affordable price and with first hand knowledge of Greek waters, we are well-placed to identify charter associates who can offer our customers the same high standards in yacht charter. Elite Sailing’s bareboat and skippered charters offer you individual attention, a great sailing holiday, and peace of mind, knowing that we have checked the boats and operators ourselves. What qualifications do you need for bareboat? Well, according to Greek law, two people in your party need to have some sailing qualifications. If you have sailed with us already, an RYA Day Skipper practical course together with a letter of endorsement from Elite Sailing is all you need to skipper the boat. The second person needs to have RYA Competent Crew as a minimum. If you feel you need some guidance and tuition at the start of the charter, we can arrange a skipper for the first day. Yachts – Saronic Gulf These boats are normally berthed at Alimos Marina near Athens so flights are straightforward and transfers are fast. The Saronic Gulf offers excellent cruising in relatively sheltered waters with plentiful island destinations – including Angistri, Aegina, Methana, Poros, Salamina, Spetses and Hydra and also mainland harbours. The Argolic Gulf in the south of the Peloponnese is close by and further to the southeast lie the Cyclades. We and our associates will be glad to provide advice on sailing areas and itineraries. Yachts – 2004 Bareboat Charter Prices per week in Pounds Sterling
(Click on a yacht to see photos and specifications) These prices include: outboard motor, GPS, Navtex, autopilot, bimini, Sprayhood, CD player, yacht insurance, VAT. There are no hidden extras for the yacht charter. You will be responsible for all the operating expenses while the yacht is on charter. These are fuel, water and port fees. An average amount for one week is 80 – 150 Euro for diesel, 10 – 30 Euro for water, and 5 to 20 Euros for port fees – say a total of 100 to 200 Euros for operating expenses for one week. If you require a skipper the charge is 130 Euro per day. For bareboat charters you must also pay a security deposit to cover loss or damage which is not covered by the yacht’s insurance policy – ie the insurance excess. The deposit is 1500 Euro above 40 foot and 1000 Euro below 40 foot.
