This is a chance to enjoy lots of our favourite destinations along the French channel coast.   Join the yacht at St Helier in lovely Jersey, feel the warm summer wind in your hair as we raise sail and enjoy the ride as we shape our course west and north about the island. Drop anchor under the splendid cliffs of Sark. Cool off with a swim in clear blue waters, and take a little time to explore this special and beautiful island. Rise with the dawn to weigh anchor and enjoy a thrilling sail past Herm and up towards Alderney, flying through the famous Alderney Race and along the coast to the historic port of Cherbourg with its busy markets restaurants and cafes. Next day catch the first tide east across the Baie de la Seine and up to the lovely medieval town of Honfleur. This is one of the jewels in the Normandy coast and we’ll tie up at the Vieux Bassin surrounded by lovely buildings, and infinity of restaurants, pavement cafes and galleries. Too soon we’ll have to leave again but ahead lies another exhilarating sail along the Alabaster Coast and a night stop at another of our special French ports – Dieppe – for some more rest and refreshment. Next day finds us sailing north with the coast well off to starboard as we head for our last destination in France – Boulogne or Calais. Which one? We’ll decide on the way depending on tide and timing. That’s the freedom of the sea.   Time here for some last shopping or gastronomy before you prepare for a classic crossing of the Dover Strait. Watch the distant white cliffs shimmering on the port bow as the tide pushes us up towards the North Foreland, and enjoy a last glorious sail along the north Kent coast to the River Medway and journeys end at our home base at historic Chatham. Luxuriate in the comfort of the marina and look back on 7 days of vintage sailing experience.
