Classroom training is a vital complement to our practical sailing courses. At Elite Sailing we pay the same careful attention to this as to our instruction at sea. Our shore based course instructors are fully qualified and experienced RYA/MCA Yachtmasters and they are also current practical sailing instructors. We make subjects relevant, interesting and fun to study.

Intensive Courses are held in our comfortable classroom close to our marina base at Chatham Maritime. Training aids are state-of-the-art and maximum class size is 8 students.
The location is less than one hour from Central London and there are excellent road and rail links both to London and to channel ports and the tunnel. There is ample free car parking.

Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Theory courses are both available as either a 5 day intensive (Monday to Friday), or a two-weekend scheme where you need take only one day off work (eg Fri/Sat/Sun and then Sat/Sun). Class times are 0900 - 1700 (DS &YM) or 0930 - 1630 (one - day courses)
Courses are non-residential but we can provide lists of local hotel and B&B accommodation. Refreshments - tea/coffee etc - are included in the price and there are places nearby where you can buy sandwiches or lunch.
Live or Work in London or Kent? In addition to our programmes at Chatham, we can deliver evening or weekend courses to company offices anywhere in London or Kent. Details

Notes:
(1)
DS and CS/YM Shorebased course prices include RYA course packs,
practices charts etc. We will loan you a Portland plotter,
dividers, 3B pencils, and erasers. Or you can buy your own
set - price £27 - on Day 1.
(2) For the VHF/SRC licence you must pay an additional examination
fee, currently £20, to the RYA.
(3) For all 1 day courses the full fee is payable at the time
of booking. For other courses a deposit of 25% is payable
and the balance is due 6 weeks before the course.
