The
Elite Fast Track Professional Yachtmaster course is a complete,
full-time training package designed to take you from sailing
and seamanship basics right up to commercially endorsed RYA/MCA
Yachtmaster Offshore.
It provides a rapid and thorough route to this definitive
skipper's qualification for sailing industry professionals
or amateur sailors wanting to achieve the highest competence
quickly.
Our
instructors are highly experienced yachtmaster instructors,
specially chosen for their sailing and teaching skills.
Our yachts are modern and immaculate, including a brand
new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 35 and a beautiful Bavaria 46
- a big, fast cruising yacht that eats up the miles and
provides exhilarating sailing together with space and
comfort. Most of your sailing will be on the bigger yacht. |

The practical sailing includes a spectacular adventure
cruise from the Thames to Scandinavia and around to Western
Scotland (Spring) or from Western Scotland around Ireland
and the western approaches and back to Plymouth (Summer).
These cruises and the subsequent final preparation and
examination will be sailed on the big Bavaria 46. |

Special 'Bespoke' Fast Track Courses
The
main programmed fast track courses are always the best bet
if you can afford the time - even if you have some prior experience.
However, if you are unable to take all this time off in one
go and/or you are starting from an intermediate level, we
can arrange a special Fast Track course tailored to your exact
requirement. Call us to discuss possibilities.

| The
course runs for 13 weeks and includes 74 - 76 days training
at sea together with all the supporting classroom training.

|
The
extended cruises are ideal training vehicles; students
are exposed to the widest range of situations and conditions
and gain a huge amount of highly relevant skippering experience.
Although an instructor is present to provide guidance
and support when needed, students skipper the yacht on
complete passages - assuming responsibility for all aspects
of planning, navigation, pilotage and supervision on deck. |

The
cruises are also, unashamedly, a hugely enjoyable and
life-enhancing experience. By the end everyone will
be a thoroughly competent and confident skipper with
wide knowledge of UK and/or north European waters and
with all the skills needed for a sure pass in the Yachtmaster
Examination.
Supporting
shore-based training is in our comfortable classroom
equipped with modern teaching aids including computer
simulation.
We
have only 5 students per course so individual attention
is guaranteed.
Additional,
pre-course foundation modules are available - including
level 2 Dinghy, level 2 Powerboat and offshore sailing
introduction.
Additional
advanced options are available including RYA Cruising
Instructor training and Yachtmaster Instructor training,
and offshore race training.
What
qualities or experience do you need to do this demanding
course? You need to have done enough sailing (say a
week) to feel you are likely to enjoy it. You need to
be able to get on with people generally. You need to
be reasonably fit. Above all you need to be ready for
some hard work and commitment.
