For the London Boat Show

Thursday 5th January 2017

Cruise from Chatham to London timed for the start of the London Boat Show at Excel. Join yacht TONIC at Chatham Marina at 0730 (0800 at the latest) on Thursday 5 January for a briefing and departure by 0830. Alternatively you can join the yacht in the evening of Wednesday 4 January and sleep aboard ready for the early briefing. We’ll pass through the lock at Chatham and enjoy breakfast as we cruise down the Medway. We should round the Nore buoy at around 1030 and head up the Thames arriving Limehouse marina in the late afternoon – early evening. The trip includes breakfast and lunch aboard on the Thursday.

You are free to leave on arrival at Limehouse basin and arrange your own transport home. Limehouse is on the DLR.

If you wish you can stay aboard on the Thursday night and attend the London Boat Show on the opening day – Friday 6 January. In this case we ask that you leave your cabin in a clean and tidy state and depart the boat by 0900 at the latest.

Experience this historic voyage down the River Medway and along the River Thames past the new London Gateway Container terminal, Gravesend, Dartford, the QE2 bridge, the Thames Barrier, the Millenium Dome, Greenwich, the Cutty Sark, Docklands and Tower Bridge.

Wednesday 4 January

  • Optional joining after 1700 to stay overnight prior to early departure on Thursday. Arrange own meals ashore. Inform the Elite Sailing office if you want to take this option.

Thursday 5 January

  • 0730 Crew join. Safety Brief.
  • 0830 Depart Chatham Marina
  • 1800 Arrive Limehouse Marina

Guests free to depart and journey home or stay aboard Thursday night and go to the opening day of the London Boat Show on Friday 6 January.

Price: £120 per person including overnight accommodation on 4 and 5 Jan, breakfast and lunch aboard the yacht on Thursday, wet weather clothing hire and VAT.
