If you are a beginner and are not sure if you will like sailing, you could consider joining one of our Practical Sailing weekends in Chatham, Kent. These are relaxed and enjoyable sailing experiences in sheltered waters and you will learn a lot, and gain hands-on experience.
After a two-day sailing weekend you will also qualify for the RYA ‘Start Yachting’ certificate – your first step on the RYA training pathway.
It is perfectly reasonable to go straight to RYA Competent Crew. This course requires five days and can be completed during a five-day Practical Sailing course or over multiple Practical Sailing weekends.
