Elite Sailing London Gateway Cruise
Monday 15th January 2017
Cruise from Limehouse Marina in London down the Thames and then up the River Medway to Chatham. This trip is timed for the end of the London Boat Show at Excel. Join yacht TONIC at Limehouse Marina between 0800 and 0830 in the morning of Monday 15 January for a planned departure at 0900. If you wish you can join after the boat show ends in the evening of Sunday 14 January, take dinner in a nearby restaurant and sleep aboard ready for the departure at 0900 on Monday morning. After departure from Limehouse we’ll sail up river to see the views towards Tower Bridge and then sail down river arriving off the Nore in the late afternoon and then up the Medway to Chatham. Initially we will have to push the incoming flood tide for a few hours so the trip could take between 8 and 10 hours depending on wind speed and direction. So ETA at Chatham is between 1800 and 2000. The trip includes breakfast and lunch on the Monday, overnight accommodation on the Sunday if required, wet weather clothing hire and VAT. The meal ashore on the Sunday evening is at individual expense.
This trip is ideal if you would like to attend the show on the final day and then enjoy a meal ashore that night and a cruise back to Chatham next day.
Experience this historic voyage down the Thames from Limehouse past Docklands, the Cutty Sark, Greenwich, the Millenium Dome, the Thames Barrier, the QE2 bridge, Dartford, Gravesend, the new Thames Gateway Container port, Southend, and then up the River Medway to Chatham.
